The Challenge

The Scholastic Store’s revenue and customer base was shrinking and the economy was on the verge of recession.

The Solution

I pushed for a limited budget to conduct a surgical user experience redesign where we leveraged user feedback, data and stakeholder insights to target the most impactful parts of the e-commerce flow and redesign the ux and ui of those designated experiences.

The Result

The redesign initiative for the Scholastic Store increased conversion rates while decreasing bounce rates by strategically improving UI and UX design that grew revenue from $1 million to $3 million over a year and continued to grow to $6 million the next year.

The Team

Our team consisted of 5 Engineers, a Product Owner, and myself as a Lead Designer owning all UI/UX.

The Challenge

Marketing is a essential part of a successful E-commerce business. As part of our redesign initiative, I identified inconsistencies in the customer journey and found an opportunity to leverage digital product strategy with our marketing campaigns.

The Solution

We meticulously coordinated all digital and physical marketing through digital product to help level up continuity and consistency across email, banner ads, web, mobile and physical print.

The Result

Our efforts helped contribute the redesign success by lifting marketing conversion rates and growing customer engagement that contributed to the year over year exponential revenue growth.
